Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that “our light will outshine their darkness” in a powerful message of support to India following a deadly terror attack. His statement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered condolences for the eight victims.
“The light of our nations will outshine the darkness of our enemies,” Netanyahu declared. He offered “deepest condolences” from himself, his wife Sara, and the Israeli people, adding, “Israel stands strong with you.”
Netanyahu praised the “unyielding spirit” of both nations, calling them “ancient civilisations” that “stand on eternal truths.” He stated that this spirit is why “terror may strike our cities, but it will never shake our souls.”
The attack, which involved a car bomb near the Red Fort, is now the subject of a high-level probe by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The agency has registered a case and is investigating a suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad module.
The NIA’s “dedicated and comprehensive” team is working to trace the network responsible for the blast and is coordinating with other state and central security units.
