Diesel prices also saw an uptick, reaching €2.131 per litre. This rise in fuel costs is part of a broader trend linked to ongoing global energy market disruptions due to the Iran war.
According to the latest data from the Fuel Price Observatory, petrol prices have inched up from €2.022 per litre on Tuesday, while diesel has risen slightly from €2.130. The upward trend in fuel costs continues to strain both households and businesses across Italy, as the elevated prices contribute to higher transportation and operational expenses.
On Italy’s motorway network, the situation mirrors the national trend, with self-service petrol prices averaging €2.110 per litre, an increase from €2.104 recorded the previous day. Similarly, diesel prices on the motorways rose to €2.206 per litre, up from €2.204 on Tuesday.
The persistent increase in fuel prices places additional financial pressure on the Italian economy, impacting everyday consumers and various sectors reliant on transportation.
